Top Gun: Maverick Premiere Stars: Tom Cruise and Jennifer Connelly Arriving by Helicopter in Gold Dress. The ageless actor starred in the continuation of the action movie 36 years after the release of the first film.

In an elegant black suit and tie, Tom Cruise captivated the audience by landing on the red carpet of the premiere show in San Diego directly from a military helicopter.

It’s been 36 years since Tom first appeared on screen as plucky pilot Pete “Maverick” Mitchell in the 1986 film Top Gun, but the 59-year-old actor hasn’t lost his shape. And although this time the actor, who has a license to manage flight equipment, did not sit at the helm of a helicopter, on the set, he performed many dangerous stunts in the air, as before, preferring to work without the help of stunt performers.

Oscar-winning actress Jennifer Connelly, who returned to the sequel “Top Gun” with Tom, went to a photocall in the company of her eldest son Kai and husband, British actor Paul Bettany. Connelly dazzled in front of the cameras in a gold Louis Vuitton high-neck gown designed by her permanent stylist Leslie Freemar.

Cruise beamed as he waved to a large crowd of fans who had waited patiently for 36 years since the original film.

Eagle-eyed fans even saw an essential detail on his helicopter, which read, “Tom Cruise Top Gun: Maverick.”
